Moxifloxacin 05 is a type of medicine called fluoroquinolone. It works by killing bacteria causing the infection.

How To Use Moxifloxacin Eye Drops?

    • To use it, first, wash your hands well with soap and water.
    • Check the dropper tip to make sure it’s not broken.
    • Do not let the dropper tip touch your eye or anything else to keep it clean.
    • Tilt your head back while pulling the lower lid downward with your index finger, to create a pocket.
    • Use one hand to hold the dropper close to your eye, but don’t let it touch your eye. Use your other hand to support your face.
    • Look up and gently squeeze the dropper to let one drop fall into the space created by your lower eyelid. Withdraw your index finger from the lower eyelid.
    • Close your eyes for 2-3 minutes and tilt your head down like you are viewing the ground. Avoid squeezing your eyelids or blinking.
    • Gently press a finger against the tear duct.
    • If there’s extra liquid, wipe it away with a tissue.
    • If you need to put in more than one drop in the same eye, wait at least 5 minutes before putting in the next drop.
    • If your doctor told you to use moxifloxacin for both eyes, do the same steps for your other eye.
    • Replace and snugly tighten the dropper tip onto the bottle. Don’t wipe or rinse the dropper tip.
    • Clean your hands for all remaining drugs.
