Citicoline 250 mg Injection
Citicoline is a class of drugs known as 'psychostimulants' employed to manage disturbances of consciousness due to head injuries, brain surgery, and the acute phase of cerebral infarction (stroke) in adults.
Citicoline has 'Citicoline' as its ingredient, which stabilizes cell membranes by enhancing the production of phosphatidylcholine and sphingomyelin and inhibiting the release of free fatty acids; thus, it accelerates recovery in patients whose consciousness was disrupted by a head trauma or any other brain issue and who have undergone surgery. In certain instances, Citicoline causes injection site reactions, rash, insomnia (lack of sleep), nausea, sensation of heat, anorexia (loss of appetite), convulsions, transient diplopia (double vision), and dyspnea (shortness of breath). If these side effects become severe or longer-lasting, seek your doctor's advice at once.
Benefits:
- Citicoline has Citicoline a psychostimulant or a nootropic drug employed to feed and reduce harm to the nerve cells in various conditions related to the brain.
- It stimulates the activity of the central nervous system (spinal cord and brain) and renews the nerve cells by stimulating the brain to synthesize phospholipids.
- It enhances recovery in patients whose consciousness has been disrupted by a head injury or any other issue with the brain and who have undergone surgery.
Uses:
Citicoline is prescribed for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease, stroke, dementia of Parkinson's disease, age-associated memory impairment, and head injury. Citicoline is a neuroprotective drug.
